Water Damage Process
Step 1 - Water Extraction
Once the source of the water damage has been identified, our experts will work to extract any remaining water from the area
Step 2 - Pull up the Carpet and remove wet pad
Once the water has been extracted, we will need to pull up the water damaged carpet to remove the wet pad below. This ensures that the area will dry completely, and no compromised product will be left behind to cause future problems.
Step 3 - Sanitize the top and back of the carpet as well as the floor beneath
An important part of the water damage restoration process is sanitization. Our professional technicians will ensure that the water damaged carpet is sanitized to prevent any mold or mildew from forming.
Step 4 - Dry the carpet with blowers and dehumidifiers
Once the water damaged area has been sanitized properly by your water damage expert, The Carpet Guy, blowers and dehumidifiers will be placed to make sure any remaining moisture is completely dried from the area.
Step 5 – Restore the area
Our trained technicians will restore the area by ensuring the water has been extracted, the wet pad removed, the carpet sanitized and completely dried so we can work to replace the padding. Once new padding is installed, the carpet can be restored. We do this by re-stretching the carpet, re-seaming any cut seams, replacing any broken transitions, and replacing any missing tack strips.
Step 6 - Carpet surface is cleaned and sanitized
The final step to the water damage restoration process is to clean and sanitize the treated area. With the carpet re-stretched and repaired back to normal, our team of professional technicians will do a final cleaning and sanitization of the entire area.
